Use Your Swimming Pool To Exercise
Guest post by: SwimUniversity.com
New Year’s Day is just around the corner and I can already sense that typical cliche that runs through so many people’s minds when they are trying to come up with their new year’s resolution for this year. The most popular one ever? “I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!”.
Well, most people who say this just end up making one excuse after another as to why they haven’t started. Maybe the treadmill you were going to buy was a little too expensive, or you just don’t have enough time in the day to do something active.
Let me assure you that if you have the will power, then you will find a way to make time. But the problem that countless people have, myself included, is the fact that we just plain hate working out.
Working out sucks! I don’t care how you look at it. Personally, the only thing I like about it is the way I feel afterwards – tired. But one thing I was always looking for was the perfect exercise. You know what I’m talking about, the one where its really fun and you don’t sweat.
But I just recently realized that this supreme exercise actually does exist, and for some it’s right in your own backyard. Try swimming as your weight loss plan this year.
Swimming For Exercise
Think about it, swimming burns more calories per hour than most other exercises because the water resistance allows you to use almost every muscle in your body. And the best part about swimming for exercise in your swimming pool is that even when you are sweating, you don’t feel it because you are in a big body of water.
Swimming not only feels refreshing while you’re working out, but it’s lots of fun. And while you would normally immediately feel the need to take a shower after traditional exercises because of the sweating, that isn’t the case with swimming exercises. Because you have been exercising in water, who needs a shower? I am convinced that I have found the perfect exercise.
Just remember that practicing proper pool care is important to keep your swimming for exercise a happy and safe experience. You can find more information and other pool care tips at SwimUniversity.com
